TUCSON — Lack of signage on Ajo Way, near the Veteran’s Hospital, is what’s driving you crazy.
Viewer Jill wrote in and said, “It would be helpful to have a hospital sign on the street for visitors. ”
News 4 Tucson’s Allie Potter talked with the city of Tucson and they said the standard blue “H” for the veteran’s hospital wouldn’t work. That’s because it would imply the hospital is open to the general public.
The Veteran’s Hospital may work with TDOT under our Private Signs policy to install directional signs, since they would qualify as a government agency. However, per the policy, the Veterans Hospital would be responsible for the cost of installing and maintaining their signs.
