TUCSON - Highs will warm into the triple digits for the warmest spots this afternoon with more of the same through Friday! Luckily, the hot temperatures won't last too long.

High pressure will dominate our weather in the Southwest for the next couple of days. Temperatures will warm a few degrees above average with highs near or slightly above 100° starting today. A storm system passing to the north of us will drop our temperatures back into the upper 90s by the weekend and that trend will continue into early next week. So at least the triple digits won't last!

So far this year we've had 91 days above 100° and that could add up to 94 if we warm into the triple digits today through Friday. The record still stands at 99 days back in 1994 but 2020 is getting closer and closer!
