Dry air and heat will ramp up through the weekend

TUCSON - Dry air continues to build up thanks to high pressure over Southern Arizona.

Rain chances have dried up, but a small chance of rain could sneak in one day this week.

Cochise county could still see a few weak thunderstorms developing over the next few days, but no severe weather is expected.

High temperatures will range from 105-107 for the next week.

If you are waiting for that next chance of rain we could see a quick storm system push into Tucson next Thursday. It is not projected to be strong, but a few showers and weak thunderstorms are possible.
