Rain and snow returns Thursday!

TUCSON - It's been another mostly cloudy and warm afternoon. Temperatures will fall Thursday and Friday as a weather system brings cooler air, valley rain and high elevation snow!

  • Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for rain (10%). Low: 50°
  • Tomorrow: Isolated to scattered showers (50%). High: 67°

A weather system will cool things down Thursday and Friday. This system will also bring scattered rain showers for valley locations and snow for higher elevations especially tomorrow afternoon.

Rain amounts will vary from 0.10" to 0.50" with the lightest amounts in Western Pima County. Elevations mainly above 8,500 feet could see anywhere from 1" to 4" of snow with levels dropping to as low as 7,500' Friday morning. This system exits late Thursday and most of us will be dry by Friday morning.

We'll stay dry through the weekend with highs warming back above average into the upper 60s and low 70s. Few clouds possible on Saturday, turning mostly cloudy on Sunday.
