Friday Forecast: Rain expected through early next week

TUCSON –  Above average temperatures are back in the forecast. Temperatures are warming up back above normal Friday and Saturday in the upper 90s for daytime highs. Moisture is also returning. Expect isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms from Tucson eastward Friday.

Saturday and Sunday coverage and intensity of storms expands to most of southeast Arizona.

The University of Arizona Wildcats take on the Texas Tech Raiders Saturday. Kickoff is at 7:30 pm and temperatures will be in the mid 80s with a chance for rain.

Early next week moisture starts to move out with isolated to scattered storm coverage from Tucson eastward.

A drying trend begins Wednesday and expected to stay dry through the rest of the week.
