Almost done with the excessive heat!

TUCSON – One more excessively hot afternoon and then we cool down this weekend!

  • Today: Another scorcher! Highs near record (10%)! High: 109° (108° 1930)
  • Tonight: Partly cloudy and warm. Low: 79°
  • Tomorrow: Mix of sun and clouds with isolated storms during the afternoon (20%). High: 104°

Another day, another record high in jeopardy! High temperatures will range between 108° and 113°. As a result, an Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until 8 PM tonight for valley locations in Pima, Pinal and Graham County. This includes Tucson, Green Valley, Oro Valley, Oracle, Ajo, Sells, Casa Grande and Safford. Limit your time outside and drink water frequently throughout the day!

Better opportunity for storms this afternoon especially to the south and east. The good news is that more moisture will move into Southern Arizona and by the end of the work week and into the weekend, scattered storms are expected across the area!

With more moisture, temperatures also go down with highs in the mid to upper 90s starting Friday and lasting through the weekend.
