A chance of widespread rain tomorrow in Tucson

TUCSON – Scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop Monday across Southern Arizona and in the Tucson metro.

Stronger storms will be capable of producing in excess of 1″ of rainfall with frequent lightning and small hail.

These showers are expected to move in Monday afternoon and persist through the evening hours.

Areas of blowing dust will also be possible, especially across Pinal and Western Pima counties.

Activity will start to decrease on Tuesday, but chances of rain and thunderstorms will remain.

Temperatures will remain in the triple digits and above average the next seven days. Monday’s daytime high in Tucson is expected to top out at 102 degrees.
