TUCSON – A weather system is approaching our area.
Yesterday we saw some of the hottest temperatures we have seen so far this year. However, that is all about to change.
A storm system will move north of the area today. This will bring gusty winds to our area today and tomorrow, along with a major cool-down tomororw. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Southeastern Pinal County and Northern Graham and Greenlee Counties. Expect sustained winds in Tucson up to 25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.
Precipitation is not expected for Southern Arizona, but cool air will be ushered in.
Today’s forecast high will be 91 degrees in Tucson, which is around where we should be temperature wise.
Tomorrow will be markedly cooler with daytime highs only reaching the upper 70s to low 80s.
As this low pressure system exits our area, expect a slight warming trend this weekend.
A few weather systems will move through early next week, bringing us cooler temperatures again. This will also bring a slight chance of precipitation to the White Mountains.
