The National Weather Service issues Wind Advisory for portions of Southern Arizona

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for portions of Pinal, Graham, and Greenlee Counties.

Sustained winds up to 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph will be possible this afternoon across Southern Arizona.

Strong winds will begin early this afternoon and peak in the late afternoon.

NWS suggests being careful on the roads, especially for larger vehicles traveling along roads with crosswinds. Light, unsecured objects may become airborne. Strong winds over desert areas could result in briefly lowered visibilities, due to blowing dust or sand. Use extra caution.

This Wind advisory will be in effect from 1 pm this afternoon to 7 pm mst this evening.
