TUCSON – Happy Mother’s Day! It was another busy afternoon and evening for showers and thunderstorms on Sunday. The National Weather Service released the 24 Hour Precipitation Totals for SE Arizona. Tucson International Airport received 1.21 inches, Green Valley 1.17 inches, south-southwest Tucson 0.68 to 0.89 inches, Parker Canyon Lake 0.76 inches and Canelo 0.59 inches.
Isolated showers will continue into Monday morning with a 10 percent chance for rain but we will clear out in the afternoon with a high of 84 degrees and sunny.
A strong warming trend will push temperatures back above average by mid week in the upper 90s. However another weather system will bring cooler temperatures and gusty winds late in the week in the low 80s.
