Record breaking May day in Tucson

TUCSON – On Saturday night, Tucson reached the wettest May day on record at the Tucson International Airport, at 1.08 inches. The old May record was in 2009 with 0.53 inches of rain. Tucson crushed that record and saw 469 percent monthly May average.

More rain is expected through Mother’s Day on Sunday.
