UArizona students use virtual reality room to practice medical skills

TUCSON – The University of Arizona is using a new state-of-the-art virtual reality simulation center for students to learn, practice, and evaluate their knowledge.

Students can use The Arizona Simulation Technology and Education Center to simulate all types of scenarios from wildfires to mass casualty situations.

They can practice skills on mannequins that breathe and bleed and are programmed with artificial intelligence.

Students also have access to a 3-D print lab where they can create models of human organs and practice their skills on life-like body parts.
