TUCSON – A person that was stuck in a construction trench on Tuesday afternoon has died, according to a TFD official.
First responders were dispatched to Stone Avenue, south of River Road. Authorities say the trench collapsed at the construction site.
According to TFD, one firefighter sustained non-life threatening injuries in connection to the incident. Authorities say another firefighter was treated in connection to a medial-related issue. Both firefighters are expected to make a full recovery, TFD said.

OSHA representatives are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
No further details have been released at this time.
