Lockdown lifted at Douglas High School

DOUGLAS, Ariz. – Douglas High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon, according to Douglas Police Department.

Police officers are on the scene at the high school. The lockdown has been lifted. Students who drive are allowed to take their vehicle home. No one is allowed on campus. The school will provide further information tomorrow. All staff and students are safe.

After further investigation, DPD said the lockdown was made after they received reports from faculty members that there might be a gun on campus. The police department lifted the lockdown after a weapon was not located.

Police said the investigation revealed that a weapon may have been spotted the day before.

The investigation is on-going.
