Person injured in drive-by shooting on south side

TUCSON – A person was transported to the hospital after the individual was shot in a drive-by shooting near the south side of town Monday evening.

According to Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting took place near Palo Verde Road and 34th Street. The shooting victim reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.

PCSD said the vehicle involved was described as a dark-colored Dodge Charger.

Residents are advised to avoid the area while detectives are investigating the scene.

Anyone with information is advised to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
