Motorcyclist seriously injured in central Tucson crash

TUCSON – A motorcyclist has been seriously injured after he was involved in a crash at Campbell Avenue and Fort Lowell Road.

According to Tucson Police Department, the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident. The area was been shut down.

Officials said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet in the situation.

The involved vehicle stayed at the scene of the incident. TPD originally reported the crash as a hit-and-run.

TPD said the two occupants of the vehicle in the incident were transported with minor injuries.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
