Pedestrian struck on northeast side of town

TUCSON – A pedestrian-involved collision has shut down westbound Pima street at Wilmot Road Tuesday evening.

According to Tucson Police Department, a juvenile female was injured in the incident. Officials say, her injuries are life-threatening. She was said to have been struck while crossing Pima Street.

Police say the area affected is westbound Pima Street from Tanque Verde and Wilmot roads west of Rook.

The estimated time for when the area will be re-opened has not yet been released.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area. Details are limited at this time.
