70-year-old motorcyclist dies following crash at Sahuarita intersection

SAHUARITA, Ariz. (KVOA) - A 70-year-old motorcyclist has died in connection to Thursday's fatal crash at a Sierra Vista intersection.

According to Sahuarita Police Department, 70-year-old Alfred Eaton was traveling southbound on Sahuarita Road near Nogales Highway when he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle.

When the officers arrived at the scene at around 12:55 p.m., they immediately rendered aid on Eaton. Despite these efforts, the Green Valley resident was pronounced dead.

After further investigation, Eaton is believed to have suffered a medical issue which allegedly prompted him to lose control of his vehicle.

Police say the 70-year-old was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the incident at this time.
