New Orleans students wear ‘Children of God’ headbands in support of Saints’ Demario Davis

NEW ORLEANS (WDSU) — After Demario Davis was fined $7,000 for wearing a “Man of God” headband during Sunday’s Saints game, students from a New Orleans school are lending him their support.

Students at St. Louis King of France Catholic School posted photos wearing “Children of God” headbands.

Davis wears his “Man of God” headband during games to bring awareness to fundraising for St. Dominick’s Hospital.

He accepted the fine, but encourages people to buy their own headbands to raise money for the hospital.

The school supported Davis’ mission and posted their support on Facebook with photos of their handmade headbands:

Like Demario Davis, we proudly profess that we are Men, Women, and Children of God! Our students enjoyed sharing in this celebration of faith! #slkf #manofgod #demariodavis #neworleanssaints

Saints fans are also giving Davis their support by spearheading events to get fans wearing headbands to games.
