Reporter nearly gets blown away by wind gust during Hurricane Michael

FLORIDA — NBC news reporter Kerry Sanders almost got blown away today, during coverage of Hurricane Michael.

Sanders has been reporting from Panama City Beach just a few miles from where Michael made landfall Wednesday afternoon. It was a Category 4 when it hit, with maximum sustained winds of 155 miles per hour.

As Sanders struggled to stay on his feet, Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel stepped in to help. He and Sander made their way to a large pole, where Sanders was able to move to safety as the wind gust died down.

Michael is the strongest Hurricane to ever hit the Florida Panhandle.
