TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima Animal Care Center will be holding a pet supply distribution event Saturday.
Pet owners can stop by Mission Manor Elementary School SUSD for food, leashes, treats, toys, and more.
The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. or until supplies run out.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, people have been asking us for help so that they can keep their pet,’” said Michele Figueroa, Director of Human Animal Support Services. “If we are able to keep a pet in a loving home all for the cost of some food or leashes, we absolutely want to make that happen.”
PACC has helped 2,000 families and distributed 1.3 million meals to pet owners. This program has funds coming from Friends of PACC and food is donated by local donors along with Amazon and Greater Good.
"Friends of PACC's goal is to help create great outcomes for all the pets that PACC serves," said Laura O'Brien, Friends of PACC Board Chair. "There is no better outcome than keeping a loving family together, and our supporters have helped us make that a reality for hundreds of families."
