TUCSON- The Angel Charity for Children made its selection of beneficiaries for 2020 Wednesday afternoon.

Angel Charity has funded nearly $28 million to improve the quality of life of more than one million children in the local community.

The organization selected two large grant beneficiaries for 2020 totaling $965,000.

Angel Charity for Children announced Intermountain Centers and the Reid Park Zoological Society as the two large grant beneficiaries.

"They are both very unique, very different needs. Intermountain definitely has a need for children with special needs, developmental delays, some with autism and this is a place where they can get their specialized help and actually prepare the families to give them the best support," said Adriana Rincon with Angel Charity. "Then the Reid Park Zoo is a wonderful crown jewel in midtown there. I'm really excited about helping the Reid Park Zoo highlight and enhance their experience."

In addition to raising money for these two organizations, Angel Charity also selected five small grant agencies totaling $195,000.

Angel Charity's first event to help raise money is on Sunday, March 22 at Culinary Dropout.
