Local man to run 12 hours to raise money for Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
TUCSON - A local runner is preparing to run for 12 straight hours Saturday all to raise money for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
What started in 2013 has now grown in the last seven years and raised more than $80,000, according to Dan Heston, who organized these running events.
Heston is running from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tucson High Magnet School's track field hoping to hit 62 miles.
According to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, one dollar equals four meals. Heston is hoping to raise $15,000 to help.
