TUCSON – First Tee of Tucson has a new location in Oro Valley.
Kids ages five to 17-years-old can now participate in the program at El Conquistador Golf and Tennis in Oro Valley.
The junior golf program teaches lessons about respect, sportsmanship and judgment. The kids are also taught self-management, problem-solving, and goal-setting skills.
“Its a great program to get started in golf,” said Landyn Lewis, First Tee of Tucson Program Director. “We’re not trying to create the best golfer out here, but we’re more trying to create great citizens for our community.”
The first fall session begins on Monday, August 26.
Kids can join The First Tee of Tucson for a yearly fee of $25. A typical six-week session fee is $10.
