Tucson police investigating suspicious death on the south side

Tucson police are investigating human remains found at a ranch on Tucson’s south side.

Authorities say officers responded to human remains found by a ranch employee around 9:30 a.m. on Aug.14.

Officers arrived at the property in the 12900 block of S. Old Nogales Highway and found the remains in an undeveloped area of the ranch.

Officers contacted Gang Unit detectives to continue the investigation into the suspicious death.

Detectives have released details of the deceased man in an effort to identify the remains.

The man is believed to be of Hispanic or Native American ethnicity.

The deceased has an Arizona Wildcat tattoo on his right shin with the words “Love It” underneath.

The letters “TUC” are tattooed on his left shin with the word “Hate It” underneath.
