TPD investigating officer-involved shooting on north side

TUCSON – Tucson Police Department is investigating a shooting near the intersection of Craycroft Road and Glenn Street Wednesday.

According to TPD, a man armed with a knife made suicidal threats while a few officers were talking to a woman at Fort Lowell Park. TPD said the officers commanded the man to drop the knife after he allegedly charged at the,

After he reportedly failed to comply, the officers allegedly shot the man. First aid was immediately rendered and the man was transported to the hospital.

Police say the woman who they were initially speaking with allegedly knew each other.

No officers were injured in the incident.
