TUCSON – A new group of future doctors are about to begin their journey.

On Friday, July 26, students from the University of Arizona College of Medicine received the first white coats.

The White Coat Ceremony is a symbol of their acceptance into medical school.

This year’s class included a former UA Football Player, a Navy dive medic, twin brothers, a former teacher, and a former douala.

The class of 2023 is made up of 59 women and 60 men and over 30 of them are from Tucson.
