Arizona Supreme Court’s new chief justice shares thoughts, goals for community

TUCSON – Arizona’s new chief justice, Robert Brutinel spend Thursday afternoon sharing his thoughts about the courts’ commitment to the citizens of Arizona.

Justice Brutinel was sworn into office on June 21. Prior to serving as Arizona chief justice, Brutinel spent many years in the legal system.

His professional experience includes serving as a justice in Arizona Supreme Court since 2010, Yavapai County Superior Court presiding judge from 2004 to 2010, Yavapai County Superior Court presiding juvenile judge from 1996 through 2004  and a judge of the superior court for Yavapai County Superior Court from 1996 to 2004.

The chief justice also spoke about his five-year agenda for all Arizona courts.

He is the state’s 25th chief justice.
