OVPD swoops in, rescues owl at Pusche Ridge Christian Academy

TUCSON – An owl was “taken into custody” by Oro Valley Police Department Thursday morning after the bird of prey wandered into the baseball cages at Pusche Ridge Christian Academy without giving a single hoot.

While it is unclear whether the owl wanted to check out a book from the library or just swoop down for a quick snack, OVPD confirmed that the feathered animal got stuck in one of the baseball cages at the school.

Officials say the winged creature was removed from the cage safely and was “taken into custody” by the responding officer.

We found this beauty caught up in the baseball cages at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy. Feel free to add your own owl jokes in the comments.
