TUCSON – A man was rescued after he was stranded on a cliff in a remote area of the Patagonia Mountains Thursday afternoon.
According to Border Patrol, Sonoita Station agents received a 911 call about a man who required rescuing south of Patagonia. The man was located perched on a steep cliff, authorities say.
With assistance from Arizona Department of Public Safety and Air and Marine Operations, the 32-year-old was extracted safely from the area. He was said to be found in good health with no injuries reported.
The man, who was discovered to be from Mexico, was then transported to Sonoita Station for further processing.
