Bee hives being removed from UA campus

TUCSON – The University of Arizona is working on removing two beehives on campus after they were discovered over the weekend.

According to UA officials, the two beehives were located at two separate facilities on campus – one on the southeast corner of the Chemistry Building, the other on the northeast corner of the Koffler Building. Authorities say an outside company was called over the weekend in to attempt to remove the hives.

Officials say UA is currently working with two additional companies to harvest and relocate the bees.
