Pet foster parents needed with HSSA caring for 46 pets

TUCSON – Humane Society of Southern Arizona is seeking out potential foster care volunteers for 46 pets awaiting approval for adoption.

The pets that are currently waiting for foster homes range from 3-weeks-old to 5-years-old. Officials say volunteers will be needed to care for the pet anywhere between a few days and a few months.

“If you have ever wanted to make a difference for a pet in need, now is the time. We have kittens, puppies, adult cats and adult dogs all waiting for someone to open their hearts and homes,” Kim Ward, animal services supervisor said. “We have an amazing network of foster volunteers and staff that provide support and will make sure you never feel that you’re on your own.”

To become a foster care volunteer, visit and complete a volunteer application.
