TPD: Man accused of killing wife in custody

TUCSON – A man is in custody after police found a woman’s body at a central Tucson home Wednesday night.

According to Tucson Police Department, a woman in her 30’s was found dead from obvious signs of “sharp force trauma” at about 8 p.m. inside a residence in the 2600 block of N. Palo Verde Ave, near Dodge Boulevard and Grant Road.

The suspect is her husband, police say.

The couple’s child was also found inside the home. Police say the child was unharmed.

Police are calling the homicide a domestic-violence related incident.
