TUBAC, Ariz. – Border Patrol agents were dispatched to Diablo Peak Monday night after they received a report of a man in need of rescuing.
After spending the night hiking to the top of Diablo Peak, the responded agents have located the man, who was identified as a Mexican national, U.S. Customs and Border Protection says. The man will soon be airlifted out of the area and transported to a nearby hospital.
Officials said the man was in need of assistance after he was “unable to walk any further.”
