PCSD searching for serial cigarette thieves

TUCSON – Pima County Sheriff’s Department needs help in identifying thieves who have stolen more than $3000 worth of cigarettes.

In January, thieves targeted the Circle K on Camino de Oeste three different times. All the incidents took place in the early morning.

According to PCSD, on Jan. 3, two suspects walked into the Circle K with bandanas covering their faces and an empty crate. The two went up to the counter and loaded up the crate with cigarettes.

Detectives describe the suspects as one Caucasian male approximately 5 feet 10 inches. And a female around 5 feet 6 inches.

The suspects were seen leaving in a black four-door sedan, what detectives believe is a Chevy Cobalt.

The two would return to the same convenience store three days later and fill up their crate with cigarettes once again.

Clerks are trained to not confront individuals who intend to rob or burglarize the store. Detectives say the thieves are aware of that.

On Jan. 28, two males entered the Circle K and stole cigarettes. The two men were described as Caucasian, one around 6 feet tall and the other around 5 feet 10 inches.

It is unknown whether the two incidents are related.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
