The Arizona Game and Fish Department wants you to be bear aware following the first confirmed bear sighting of the year.
Game and Fish said the bear was spotted on the Red Ridge Trail in the Santa Catalina Mountains.

As a precaution, wildlife officials are asking people to secure food and garbage while camping. They also don’t want campers to leave food in their tent.
If you are approached by a bear, Game and Fish said you should face upright, yell and wave your arms.
