New Tucson museum honors Mexican American families

TUCSON- A new museum has opened up in Tucson. The Mexican American Heritage and History Museum has opened up at the Sosa-Carillo House.

The museum is dedicated to the Mexican American families, businesses, and organizations that helped build Tucson.

The inaugural exhibit is called “Trailblazing Women of Mariachi Music.”

The Sosa-Carrillo House is located at 151 S. Granada Ave. It was built in the 1870s.

The exhibit will run through May 5.
