TUCSON – World experts on the topic of Virtual Reality and Healthcare will gather together this Wednesday and Thursday at the University of Arizona Student Union Memorial Center to discuss the latest trends and topics of new innovations and technology into the emerging health care field.
The U of A sponsored seminar will mark the largest global gathering to be highlighting the research, applications and opportunities in virtual, augmented and mixed reality in health care.
University of Arizona’s own Dr. Marvin Slepian will co-chair the event and will be presenting “Health Care 2019: Realities, Stressors and Opportunities”. Dr Slepian is a U of A professor, founder and director of the Arizona Center for Advanced Biomedical Innovation at the University.
Dr. Slepian also is a professor of medicine; member of UA Sarver Heart Center; professor of medical Imaging; professor and associate department head, UA Department of Biomedical Engineering; member of the UA BIO5 Institute; professor materials science and engineering; and McGuire Scholar, UA Eller College of Management.
