New book explores Arizona life of Ernest McFarland
TUCSON – Gary Stuart’s new book “Call Him Mac” has been released and a book signing was held on Tuesday, January 29th at the University of Arizona.
The book is about Ernest McFarland’s time in Arizona as a U.S. Senator, the state’s governor, and Arizona Supreme Court Chief Justice.
But most importantly, when he became “The Father of the G.I. Bill.”
In Stuart’s book, he talks about how McFarland created the bill to help veterans returning from war, a bill that still impacts the lives of veterans today.
