Old Tucson celebrates 80th birthday with a new attraction and film series

Old Tucson is celebrating its 80th birthday all year long with new attractions and film series.

This month, a new Outlaw Zipline is opening at the western theme park and film location. The target-shooting zipline is the first of its kind. People can ride it in groups or even with their pets. The attraction will cost extra in addition to the admission price.

The “Shot at Old Tucson” film series is kicking off in January. Old Tucson is teaming up with The Loft Cinema to screen some of the most famous western movies shot at the film location.

The first screening will be of Tombstone, on Jan. 26. There will also be a costume contest. The event starts at 5 pm. General admission tickets will cost $5.

The official Old Tucson birthday bash will be held April 13 and 14th.
