TUCSON –The man accused of shooting and killing a deputy U.S. Marshal is scheduled to be arraigned at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Ryan Schlesinger, 26, is accused of killing 41-year-old Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White while serving a felony warrant in November. Police say Schlesinger was wanted for stalking a Tucson police sergeant.
Last month, at the request of the defense, a preliminary hearing was waived for Schlesinger. A judge ruled that he remained in custody.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Chase White was a married father of four children from Peoria, Illinois. He was also a 3-year veteran of the U.S. Marshals Service assigned to the District of Arizona.
This is a developing story.
