House fire turns deadly in Tucson’s northwest side

TUCSON — A man is dead after a late night fire on Tucson’s Northwest side.

Northwest Fire District received multiple calls of a house fire in the 9100 block of North Rock Dove Place.

Crews found the home heavily involved in fire, with reports of a man still inside. A woman who lives at the residence was able to escape. Fire officials say high heat, zero visibility, and other extensive fire conditions made the fire fight and search for the man difficult.

The man was found by firefighters and was carried outside. Paramedics evaluated the man, however he died at the scene.

Officials say the fire destroyed the inside of the home. The cause is still under investigation.
