Huachuca Police arrest 18-year-old in connection to church arson

HUACHUCA, Ariz., – A woman in connection to arson fires and trespassing incidents was arrested on Tuesday.

According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department, Huachuca City Police Department arrested 18-year-old Hailie S. Serr of Sierra Vista.

Huachuca City Police Department arrested 18-year-old Sierra Vista resident, Hailie S. Serr, as part of an ongoing investigation into the arson fires, criminal damage and trespassing of the Huachuca City Methodist Church/ CCSO

Serr was booked into the Cochise County Jail and faces the following charges:

Arson of Structure / Property Felony 2 Counts
Burglary 3rd Deg-Unlaw Entry Felony 2 Counts
AGG CRIM DMGE-Deface Worship Felony 2 Counts
CRIM TRESP 1st DEG Desecrate Felony 2 Counts

Serr was taken into custody in connection to arson fires, criminal damage and trespassing activity at the Huachuca City Methodist Church, located at 506 N. Gila St. The fires at the church were reported on Oct. 18 and Nov. 27.

Police say a brush fire was also reported near the church in October.
