Man suspected of breaking into Phoenix home, stealing family dog and setting garage on fire arrested

Police said they have made an arrest and a puppy has been returned after two men broke into a Phoenix home, stole the family dog and then set the garage on fire.

Police said the two suspects broke into the home near 50th Avenue and Thomas Road on Monday, in broad daylight, around 12:30 in the afternoon.

A 13-year-old girl happened to be home sick from school that day. Police said one of the men walked into the girl’s bedroom and stole her phone from her pillow as she slept.
