Border Patrol agents arrest convicted sex offender

TUCSON – A man with a violent criminal history was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Three Points Station.

32-year-old Guatemalan national, Walter Chun-Chilel, was arrested shortly after he entered the U.S. illegally near San Miguel on Saturday, November 10th.

Chun-Chilel was arrested for an immigration violation after agents conducted a records check. They also learned he was convicted in King County, Washington on two counts of indecent liberties in 2008.

He was sentenced to 82 months of confinement for those crimes.
