Imperfect Produce to bring 350 jobs to Tucson

TUCSON –A food waste fighting company is making its way into Tucson.

Imperfect Produce, a San Francisco-based produce delivery company, announced Friday its plans for opening their first customer care center in the Old Pueblo, creating 350 jobs in the region.

According to a news release, Imperfect Produce has leased a 24,000 square feet office space at 3535 E. Valencia Rd.

They expect to begin operations in early 2019 and begin delivery services later in the year.

Job opportunities will be posted here. The company is looking for both entry-level and experienced supervisors and managers.

According to Imperfect, “1 in 5 fruits and vegetables grown in the U.S. never makes it off the farm, typically because it doesn’t meet the strict cosmetic standards of grocery stores.”

Imperfect Produce sources their produce directly from farms and then delivers to customers.  The company sees the business as a way for customers to save money, eat healthier, support farmers and fight food waste.
