Tucsonans protest at “Nobody is Above the Law” rally

Tucsonans protested at a local “Nobody is Above the Law” rally on Thursday, November 8th, to protect Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation as it comes to a close.

This comes just one day after former Attorney General Jeff Sessions was pushed out by President Trump.

Sessions was replaced with Matt Whitker, who has been openly skeptical of the probe.

Whitaker will become Interim Attorney General, giving him complete control over the investigation, what is released, who is subpoenaed, and approving criminal charges as more information comes to light.

Many people across the country are worried Whitaker will not be an impartial voice in the investigation.

“Tucson is just one small part of this whole picture, but we are here,” said one Tucson protester. “And, we are everywhere and we are going to stay here until this is take care of and Mueller is protected and this guy recuses himself.”

Thousands of people took to the streets as similar rallies played out in cities such as Chicago, New York, and Maryland.
