One dead, three transported to hospital for apparent overdose

TUCSON – Heavy police and fire personnel presence has shut down Irvington Road and 12th Avenue.

According to Tucson Police Department, officers were flagged down at the parking lot the Carl’s Jr at 1070 E. Ajo Way. A man was found unresponsive in a car with symptoms of an apparent overdose. TPD immediately administered NARCAN and CPR.

The man was transported to the hospital.

Shortly after, the people who reported the incident said they found the man at a home in 800 West Idaho Street and said there may be more people with drug overdose symptoms.

When the first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered three people. Two of them were unresponsive. One of the people, who was identified as a male, was pronounced dead the scene. The two others involved were transported to a hospital.

According to officials, west section of Idaho Street between 13th and 17th avenues has been shut down.
