Disney’s Coco author will stop in Tucson for book signing

TUCSON – The award-winning author of Disney’s Coco book “Miguel and the Amazing Alebrijes” will be coming to Tucson Thursday to help kids get in the Halloween and Dia de los Muertos spirit.

Roni Capin Rivera-Ashford will host a book reading event Oct. 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the McDonald’s located at 3310 E. 22nd St. near Country Club Road. At the event, patrons are invited to come dressed up in their Halloween costumes or Dia de los Muertos attire, and participate in various fun activities.

According to officials, 25 lucky guests will receive a signed copy of the Disney book.

The book signing will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Arizona, with 20 percent of the sales during the event will be donated to the non-profit.

Noel Sederstrom joined the KTTC-TV staff as News Director in February, 2008. He's a native Minnesotan, having grown up on a farm near Litchfield, and also spending a lot of time on Lake Vermilion near Tower-Soudan, where his grandfather Gust Saari worked in the Soudan Underground Mine. After studying journalism at the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis, Noel worked as a reporter, anchor, producer and Executive Producer at television stations in Duluth, Little Rock, Buffalo, Louisville and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Noel was the News Director at WWMT-TV in Kalamazoo for seven of his 18 years at the CBS affiliate before returning to Minnesota.
