Missing teen believed to be in danger

TUCSON –  Joshua Anderson,16, was last heard from on May 28, 2019. He reached out to a friend expressing he was in danger, in the desert and without water.

Heidi Anderson, Joshua’s adoptive mother described him as sweet, intelligent and talented in sports. She described the situation as “a nightmare you want to wake up in the morning and say it just isn’t real.” Joshua has a young son who has just started walking.

Pima County Sheriff’s detectives told News 4 Tucson, was on Juvenile Intense Probation, and that he disappeared after he left a meeting in the Juvenile Court Center.

After the teenager reached out to his friend, family and friends searched the area of Highway 286 between milepost 22-28.  The sheriff’s department and Border Patrol combed the area as well. Police and family used different assets, air and ground searches to try and locate Joshua to no avail. They also warn he could potentially be with dangerous people.
